Default 35 owners

I am considering buying a 35 Motion to use as a poker run boat. I currently have a 31 Warlock cat which I am keeping but I want to go a little faster (125-130) and be able to handle rougher water at 100+ speeds. At about 8500 lbs my Warlock does great for its size but I figure 4 more feet and a true tunnel will make a significant difference. Any one have any comparisons to give me an idea how much better it may do? Will it handle similar to the other 36 foot true tunnels like skater and nortech or does its smaller beam make a difference? Thanks

The person to talk to is Larry Goldman from Xtreme Marine. He's run every cat out there, and has rigged 90% of the Motion's made.

Talked to Larry today for about 45 minutes. He gave me pretty much all the information I was looking for. He also got me a little interested in this new 398!

I dont think so. Go to the GD section and there's a thread on it by Lubejobs42/Gino.

runs VERY similar to a 36' Spectre
with correct set-up/power will run very hard, and very stable...
IMO night and day difference in ride (and to drive) than your Warlock.

The Motion has a far superior ride and will be much faster than a similar powered 31 Warlock. The difference between the two boats is hugh. I have owned a 35 and a 30 Motion. The 36 Nortech is a fast beautiful boat, but not the best rough water boat. The 36 Skater will outrun a 35 Motion in big water. The 36 Skater is a much taller, wider and deeper boat. The 36 Skater is a much better boat in every regard and a lot more expensive. 36 Spectre's are nice, but I have been in both and like the ride of the Motion better.

Brad I see you bought Byond Reason. How does the 35 motion and a 32 Skater match up? I know the motion was an "evolution" of the 32 skater. I know you may not yet have any seat time in Byond Reason but maybe you have been in some other 32 Skaters. Larry Goldman says the Motion handles alot better than the 32 Skater.
