Anyone own a chevy 4500?

Byrdman is the person to talk to.
A few SCOPE members have them as well. TurboSonic1 / Lu Lyall who makes the leakproof trim pump caps has had one for a few years, and LOVES his.
They are a little stripped on the inside compared to a typical LT GM, unless they have had a conversion package, as the one you have in the pic. Most of them are NOT 4WD, and I would not want a 2WD due to slippery ramps.
http://www.criswellchevrolet.com/ usually has several in stock. I test drove a new one there a few years ago to kill some time.

I have the very first one delivered to John Q public. I Love it!
It pulls the boat great and I have both a 30' enclosed car trailer and 30' Toy hauler, all tag hitches. For hauling it dosn't get any better. We always trailer our boat to the lake, 9 hours each direction. When we get there, not tired from the drive because we are not fighting the drive all the time.
2wd is fine. The truck is heavy enough where it pulls the boat right out. however we do always top off the fuel tanks in the truck before we pull out. Just a precaution when it is wet at the ramps.
My brother JUST bought an 07. It has the air ride and the upgraded interior. Well worth the extra money, VERY nice!
I have a little over 45k miles on the truck, I took delivery in AUG 03. Have had very little problems. just some odd tire wear, but it has been fixed. (was a pingle angle & getting correct amount of air in the tires).
I highly recommend the truck. Oh yea, the other down side or ego booster depending on how you look at it,.. everytime you stop to fill w/fuel, or for really any reason, people want to know about the truck.
