Default Dodge 4500/5500

They can be ordered now. What is the word on these? getting a dually soon and doing a build sheet on a 4500. Debating between an F 450 and 4500 mega cab.

It will be my daily driver and used for work. I will put about 30 to 40K miles per year. Currently have an 05 Excursion PSD 6.0 with 70K miles and love it but it doesnt fit the bill for hauling longer distances with a bigger boat.

Any thoughts?

are they making it as a four door dually? all I see is the stake body work trucks? link?

if it has the 6.7 Cummins with the new 68 tranny we have a 3500 with 18k miles and so far so good.

As I understand it, you can get it in a regular and quad cab only and will be sold in chassis cab models only (no bed).

It will have the 6-speed Aisin automatic Transmission or G56 six speed manual.

Other than that, you can pretty much get any of the other options on the trucks.

I had dinner last night with the owner of a large Dodge dealer here in Tulsa and he is pricing me out one with a mega cab and pickup bed along with just about every option. He wrote down everything I wanted.I looked for a link and could only find the site showing no truck bed in the back.

Unless he is mistaken, he said he could get me that truck with the 6.7 mega cab and new auto tranny with a pick up bed in 8 weeks if I ordered it now. He is going to email me more details and I will post. We did have a large bottle of cognac during the conversation though

Jim,

Current status is that the 4500's and 5500's are available only as cab & chassis. I'm pretty sure that's not what you want unless we could do some sort of

custom bed? Let me know.

Looks like the pick up bed isnt available yet....

Yeah I would be pre-paying for her next divorce

Hi, Why cant you just put the bed of a 3500 daully? They do it for Chevy and Ford..

Look at the OSO truck.. Its a F-650 with a daully bed.
