Default headliner problem

The material lining the inside of the cabin (over head) is starting to sag. This is on a 1998 280 Velocity. Is there any fix or is it time to take it to a specialty shop?

on my crownline there was no fixing it. The foam behind the headliner material was rotting, and even if you sprayed glue behind it, would only last a few days. I ended up replacing it myself. Not to bad of a job.

Not sure if the Velocity is the same or not. Luckily mine is still holding up pretty good.

Took all the trim off first. Then started tearing the old healiner out. Mine had some 1" foam glued to the fiberglass, then the headliner material glued to the foam.

I bought the headliner material from a local upholster, and the foam I bought online. I used 3m spray adhesive. Make sure you use the stuff in the black can. As I recall it was about $25/can, and it took 2 cans.

clean the old glue off the fiberglass as best you can, then spray both the fiberglass, and the back of the headliner / foam

I had to have 2 pieces of headliner material sewn together to cover it. I left it long, and came back, and trimed it with a knife after it dried. I think I had about $300 in it, and turned out pretty nice.

Oh yea, go to a Home Depot or somewhere and buy a roll of the plastic they put over carpet, and cover EVERYTHING. The glue goes everywhere.

be preparred to get real high when spraying the glue in teh cabin. I was looped. Even with a mask.

How did you remove the foam from the fiberglass?
