DS, remeasure your PS height

It is about 4.5-4.75" below the bottom. Its a pain to measure with the notch.

X dim with the notch is 20-20.5"

A little trick we use is a laser level of some sort. No long straight edge needed. Just make sure the boat and drive are level.

I wasn't the one who measured it so I can't really comment on it. We'll have a look this weekend.

I concur with Tom's comment... Where's B-Stubb been?! Seems like he's one of, if not the only guy running a full pleasure single over 90mph. I think a lot of us would really like to hear more about his set up. As I recall he hurt a motor this spring, but I thought he was going to toss another bullet together and be back on the water.

What about the rest of you Pantera owners? Don't you guys like the idea of gathering your perf numbers in one single thread?

Wouldn't mind getting this going again.
I'm seriously thinking of keeping the boat and
doing a 540 - 700hp motor instead. Just trying to
figure out what prop to use & expected top speeds.

My current set up is:

Model (24/28/35/36): 28
Year: 2004
Layup (pleasure/race): Pleasure
Weight (empty): 5200# on Panteras site & #6000 loaded
X-dimension: Stock
Notch (Y/N): No
Number of engines (1/2/3): One
Engine make/model: Mercury 496 HO
Displacement: 496ci
Power: 425HP
Torque: ?
Drive: Bravo One X
Setback (Y/N/length): No
Nosecone (Y/N/which one):
Gear ratio: 1.5
Prop (model, size, labbed, etc): Merc 24" 4 blade

Max speed: 62 mph one GPS
RPM: 5000

Test conditions (wind, chop, etc): Any
Load (fuel, crew, etc): 1/2 load fuel - 2 people

Comments: Speed doesn't change much (60mph)
if I add more people & fuel

I can help you there.
I'm selling my mtr parts cheap: carb, 2 different cams, intake, two sets of pistons w/ rings and several other goodies.
All good stuff w/ 10hrs use on them.
