All of the Activator/Rage boats are vacume bagged balsa cored bottoms beveled and resin soaked compleatly sealed to stop water intrusion. They have divinicell hull sides and decks also vacume bagged. It would be easy to build them lighter but we like the way they handle at the heavier layup.

Would a balsa cored hull side 30 been a special order?

my opinion? Yes.
The "white" one currently under the knife has balsa cored hull sides. Not a crack in it its a strong boat.
