With the drive on the transom it probably worth 2mph maybe more depending on the boat.

That's going to be big. Is there more speed on the transom or the box and lets not forget about handling. Getting actual data days later after you change the set up is going to be hard to quantify IMO. How board are we that we are on here 4 times a day LOL. Frank this is the best conversations we have had in years. Its not about rules or Orgs. Its our passion for these SVL boats thanks.

I tested on the transom with a notch and then added an ext box. Boat was faster without the box in a straight line. After logging a lot of a data the box came off and went back on again. Avg speed is faster with the box. Handling is much better with it on my particular hull. I also noticed the black phantom 9 runs a box with a notched transom. That half inch below the bottom rule brought to light A lot. Most boats are now at least an inch below the bottom.

my bad... not enough coffee yet lol Im using the custom Fountain mechanism but I notice more and more are going with systems similar to what tiger offers in the 3 point deal.
