Nice to see an Activator section on Offshore. About time, it's a great boat made in a great boating place. Good luck, I'll be watching, reading and supporting. Hope some of LI Activator boaters check in...

John,
That is the nicest 27 I have ever seen. Nicely appointed.
Who made the windshield?
I have a 1989 27 Actvator with a similar windshield and want to put an 1.5" lip on it for wind deflection. Looking for a fab shop who could produce one for me.
Any ideas?
Russ

RLW...you might want to try

www.windaway.com

They're easier than trying to find somebody to bend your lexan. They pop on and off quickly, and do a great job deflecting the wind. I had them on my Nordic and they were one of the best aftermarket additions I made to the boat.

That is one sweet looking boat. Is it a new version of an Apache? Some "guy" at the dock told me it was modeled after the 41 Apache.

Thanks for digging up some pics of White Lightning.
What is the length?

Panther 01-11-2005 12:07 PM

Re: LI activators

Not sure. It was next to the Wizard of Oz at the poker run and it was about 2-3 feet shorter so I'm thinking its less than 40 ft???

$100K w/trailer the thing is barely used, we just don't have the time to play with it between race season and work.

highnoon49,

How do you think that hull would do as a Super V lite with either a Vortec or Merc 525?????

highnoon49 02-11-2005 08:36 AM

Re: LI activators

I really don't know. It's 32'6", so with that length and with that set up it would have 1/2 the HP. Remember I've ran the 27' and the 32' so I don't know how the 32' would fare. It's an animal of a boat though, and if it were hooked up right, I think it would a good time to race.

DPT MOTORSPORTS 02-11-2005 11:41 AM

Re: LI activators

Thank you for your opinion. Just really seems like it would be a great hull for the class. The new 29' should be a great boat as well.
