Don't know of anyone using that motor. The power/cost ratio doesn't warrant the price tag for the 6's.

I'll stay with the so called "Mild" power and run 90's with 525's and all I'll have to do is turn the key and go!

Thanks Brian. Any recommondations on where to stay and where I might keep the boat for a week there would be appreciated as well.

Depending on where you want to keep the boat; I live about 40 minutes from Jordan Point, and I should have my land cleared by then. You can keep it at my place. Also, Jordan Point does have a fenced/locked storage lot, and they may be able to keep it as well. There are no hotels really close, but about 10-15 minutes away, back toward I-295, there are a few express/business hotels. Most of us stay on our boats on Friday night, in the water at Jordan Point.

Thank you. Depending on what plans we make, I'll take you up on your offer. No ice on the boat, prefer to stay in a motel.

Steve are you going to use SmartCraft guauges or Smartcraft Race view monitor? We are doing a twin 496Ho repower right now and will be using Merc's new digital K-planes,SmartCraft transom plates and Smartcraft race system view.Pretty cool stuff.

Pete, we looked into using SmartCraft gauges through Livorsi but it's limited to Monster Speedo and Monster Tach and regular size gauges. Thought I'd stay with the classic looking monster gauge dash.

Merc has some cool comos for Smartcraft. You can use the regular guages, then use a system monitor to view engine information from the PCM555.You'll need 2 harness for each motor, one for the analog guages, one for the Smartcraft monitor.
