I have a confession...

Come on down some holiday weekend. Not the worst water in the world, but maybe the most unpredictable!
I have been in a 32 AT in snotty stuff at LOTO, and have 5 years experience driving a dominator in it. No question, the 32 AT was better. But then again, the 32 At was 32 foot boat, not a 30 foot boat with a swim platform.
My point here is we are comparing apples to oranges. The hull lengths are different. Both boats are outstanding!
Comparing prices is a matter of what kind of deal each of us made.

I had a long talk with Shawn last night. He's making a great purchase at a great deal.
Also, having a 32 Sun now allows him to graduate to a 37 AT in a couple years.

Thanks for the endorsement Brian and thanks to all of you guys for your comments and support.
Sounds like the biggest concern here is the snotty water. For those of you that are unaware, I do 85% of my boating on a lake in North Carolina (Kerr Lake aka Buggs Island) that has 800 miles of shoreline and sees 18" chop on the worst of days.
My desire to go from my 28 to a slightly larger boat was more about speed than anything else. However, I also know that a twin engine setup will give me the ride and stability I need for those 2 Poker Runs a year I do in the Chesapeake Bay/Atlantic Ocean (also keeps the pressure off of having to start first as running 67 top end left me in the rear with some nasty water real quick
). While not optimal for the real bad stuff, the SS will give me an increased level of confidence going into some bigger water should I get a wild hair and decide to do a few more PR's.
In the end, this is another step towards a 37 AT for me....it will be my first twin engine boat and for my budget, I feel I am making the right decision with a solid, well made boat.
More thoughts/comments welcome...thanks guys.

Shawn This might work out for the best. When im ready to step up to a 43 AT in a few years you can buy OVERACTIVE. You said you like the paint so you get first refusal when the time comes
Congrats on the new boat(even though its not an AT). You can still get a ride on mine.

I like that plan Mark....let's hang onto that one! Below is the paint job I will be ordering. It will be only the third Sunsation painted like this however, the first and last Dominator SS as they are retiring the template.
I am so pumped I can't stand it!!!!

Rich - been meaning to call you...we are still working on a sitter however, not having much success. I will give it another run after Christmas (our normal +options are currently out of town) however, if you have the opportunity to take someone else, don't wait on me (although I know you prefer my hot wife in your boat
).
I hope it works out however, if not, Lisa and I are both very appreciative of the invite....
