I got new fuel pumps installed this week, along with some other warranty work, and wanted to make sure everything was OK. I'm about done other than fogging and antifreezin'.

But today took me back to my first sea trial with Pat. Huge seas!

I love this boat!

Both pumps bad or just one ?

Did you miss Mark's thread in the Tech forum this summer? They all do it. I've already learned how to change the oil in the water pump....for when mine go out of warranty.

The other warranty work was an oil leak that was quite puzzling. Kept finding oil in the bilge and could not figure out where it was coming from. And, like most of you, I like my bilge spotless!

Finally discovered it was coming out of the outdrive shift cable and dripping onto the top of the coolant reservoir. Turned out to be a loose seal in the outdrive. A while ago, my Merc Cert mechanic replaced the existing seal in the outdrive, but it came loose again. This time he replaced it with two seals, which looks to have worked. I'll find out tomorrow.

I might add, this one is a very rare occurance for Bravo drives.

cosmic12 12-01-2007 06:02 PM

I had that problem (shift cable) on my Profile except I was getting water, new cable and seals and RTV fixed it. God I hated that boat:(

Active,

Those pics bring back memories...I lived in Aspen from '77 to '87, back when it was affordable to be a bartender/ski bum. That was kind of the Hunter Thompson era. As they used to say, "if you have a lot of memories from that time....then you weren't here". Too much fun!

I still have a ton of friends back there. I haven't been back in a few years....might be time to plan a trip for spring. Looks like your condo is over near the Gant....is that place still there? Anyway, enjoy! I'm jealous.

I've been coming out here for 12 yrs. now and there have been lots of changes. Real estate prices have gone from $500 sq. ft. to $1600 sq. ft. They did a complete makeover of the Gant last year and most of those units are going for 2-3 million now. My place is on the corner of Cooper Ave. and Origanal St. called Silverbell Condos. I'll be here the whole month of March so let me know if you decide to visit. There's still a helluva lot of fun to be had here it's just expensive and I don't need to remind you how good the skiing is. Here's a few pics. I took before i went up yesterday. :drink: :D

That looks AWESOME!!!!!! The last 2 years and probably the next 2-3 will be getting all the boys up to skiing by themselves. The older 2 are doing it but I'm not willing to cut them loose by themselves yet. For me, I have only managed to get in a trip out west every 4-5 years.

For four of my years there I lived in the Original Curve condos, right up the street from Silver Bell.

Go into Bentleys and ask for Keith (manager). Tell him Paul Jacks says hello. Also, if you get down to the Steak Pit, ask for Ronnie, or Howie. I'm pretty sure those guys are all still in the restaurant game, but man, it's been about ten years. Funny thing is, I still read the Aspen Daily News on line every day.

I had a house sitting gig about a quarter mile past the Woody Creek Tavern for a year, so I spent a good deal of time there as well, but it was a tiny little general store/cowboy bar back then.

chuckbeecher 12-05-2007 05:30 PM

Woody Creek still is.
But the pool tables may be gone.
