Yea, the boat was beat when at the repo place. Good to hear that the AVH hull works well in turns. If anyone can do it, it's Tres.

Brian,
from one bullsh**ter to another;
I was on Rich's boat w/ Tres. He did not "whip" a 180* turn at 80 MPH. He made a normal turn (more like 50-55mph) and it happend to be 180 degrees. That tturn Tres made was not spectacular in any fashion - UNLESS Active Thunders have issues turning, (which I don't think they do) but you would know better than I.
Just had to buss your chops a bit my friend. . . . . .:drink: :eek:

Thanks for the insight. I was not on the boat; and only had one input from Rich. I guess its all in perception, but Rich said it was intense. I did talk to Tres via PM, and he said the boat did well in his short time aboard. That's a great vote from such an experienced driver; and I know what my boat is capable of.

AT only builds boats on Wednesdays anyhow. :D :D

Would you have performed the same turn in your TS TG?

I heard only Wednesday nites. . . . .

Sure I would have done that turn in my TG. It wasn't all that. Just a turn. But don't forget - it was on Smith Mountain LAKE. It was quite smooth and raining too.
I have taken faster / tighter turns in my TG w/o any issues.
Now that Tres taught us how to turn stepped boats, I wouldn't hesitate to turn the AT or the TG 180* (tight) at speed.

Can't wait to see Macklins new toy!
I think I may be almost as excited as Macklin. He will be the 'go to' guy on AT's in rough water. You river boat guys don't get too much "water" up there. Brian, you had to go to MI to get some bouncy stuff! Saw the video; that looked "nasty".
Of course - in a Cigarette, we'd all be relaxed having cocktails in that kind of water. . . . .:rolleyes: :evilb: :drink:

Hey Jassman! That picture from the "archives" brings back some memories! That was a great trip wasn't it! I'd just like to see any kind of boat other than the barges/junks pushing stuff up the nasty HuangPu river here in Shanghai!:rolleyes:

Todd - the sale of your boat was the best deal ever in the history of OSO imo.......if it came along a yr or so later it would be my boat now.......I was starting a new business and couldnt get it done.......I was hoping you were going to keep it for awhile.......doug
