Its kind of odd that we're having this conversation in the AT forum, because they are probably one of the most fair when it comes to pricing. But this forum is one of the few that you can have a controversial conversation in without getting attacked.
I'd just like to see a world where one buyer is treated equally to the next by eliminating price negotiations. Its not a fair fight because the dealer/manufacturer is the only one who knows how much it really cost them. If they are only going to make a 20% profit on Joe Dingleberry, I don't want them making a 40% profit on me just to make up for their earlier deal. Why not price so that everyone pays the same percentage and they always take in their 30% profit? I know there is a lot of disagreement about this. But i think it is fair to both the manufacturer and the consumer. The challenge lies in the changing of buyer behavior. Someone who is used to haggling a price will surely try to haggle a non-negotiable price as well. However this opens a whole new can of worms. |
YEAH!!! why didn't you start this in the Outerlimits or Cig department???::rolleyes:  :evilb:

Hmmm... I've got my popcorn and watching with great interest as the authorities of the manufacturing world/OSO tell us how it really works.

JD buys it at $240k(20%mu), there is no way you'll be paying $280k for the same boat. There is waaaaaaaaay to much information on the web for this to happen. You can just ask the factory for a price, then ask three other guys here what it will sell for, then you can ask the guys who own them what they paid. You've gotta be well educated after that. If someone comes to me w/a price I need to hit, i'll do my best, unless I'm pretty sure they are lying. If someone comes to me w/o a f'n clue what they are doing? You can bet they'll pay more, and alot more than 20%! :evilb: |

What's that saying...if you have to ask..you probably can't afford it. Well, if you hang around OSO and really are smart enough to want an AT, you should know where to start the number game. And one more thing...who starts out with a NEW 37AT?....if you work your way up won't it be obvious? Lastly, Pat & Co. are more honest than most...just ask them.

All you gotta do is call. I know the price will be attractive.
Please let us know when the other manufacturers start posting dealer pricing on OSO. :evilb: Thanks, Jeff |
let's just say that the cost for a brand new 37 a.t. would be a minimum of a 100 k cheaper then a new 38 cigartette and will be faster with same power . " i think "
