I think this has been discussed before. Mine is a 99 with a 502/Procharger set up @ 5lbs of boost. Approx 600+ HP.
My prop shaft is approx 1.5inch below the very bottom of the boat. The hull has a large notch. I run a 28 Maxximus turning 5000+ RPM. Gps speeds are +/-76mph with a good size load and 4 people. Hope this helps.

I have a 28 AT, but it's a twin. However I have tried Bravo 1 props (26p) and they turn about 400 less rpm's than the Hydromotives. I labbed a set of 4-blade 27"p and reduced the diameter to 15" and can turn 5000rpm...speed is somewhere in the low 70's...no GPS so I'm calculating 72ish with 14% slip. As for x dim., I had to add latham spacers,1-1/2" to get propshaft 5" below straight edge off hull. I spoke with Bobby Moore and he recom. 4-1/2" to 6" below hull line. Of course so much different with a BB single. Good Luck!
