Pat, I would say I enjoy the smaller runs because it is easier to get dock space @ card stops and less confusion at the green flags...Wife always gets nervous with so many boats trying to get on plane in smaller areas...plus there is always one knucklehead doing something really stupid, putting others in danger. However, the 1000 Islands run is impressive to see...and they have been breaking into 3-4 groups to keep the spacing safe. Usually they get 120-140 boats. The Alex Bay run is almost the same run...only difference is the card stops are in American waters and the sights are awesome. It would be great to get more AT's thisd year...It is a long way for you S. FL guys, I've made the drive too many times!

Oh, by the way Pat...we tried the run up the Hudson in 2005 and found it to be a joke. I guess I am spoiled by the crystal clear water of the St. Lawrence River and great scenery...and shouldn't a poker run have more than one or two card stops? Personally the run was a 75 mile race and not much camraderie. The food stunk, the scenery up the Hudson is sad and the run is over in 90 minutes. Just my opinion. Maybe if you were riding with Bob Russell, Oliver Bock or Vinnie Rifice @ 150mph it would be a rush and the scenery would just be a blur so it wouldn't matter!
I'd love to come to FL next fall/winter for a run if we could get all the AT's together I'd make the haul.

I have tried to get him to come up to the 1000 Islands many times but its just to far I guess. All anyone has to do is go there one time and they will be hooked and not be able to stay away. But it is a long ass haul for Pat and co.

We will definitely be taking Monsoon to Lake Cumberland, but probably not in the 2007 season due to the low water levels.
I really had a great time at that Poker Run last year.
Chicago is a great poker run as well. I grew up outside of Chicago, so it was a great opportunity to run back on home turf/aqua; and take my Dad with me.
I think I would like to do Jacksonville and Emerald Coast in the near future.

I REALLY liked Lake Cumberland, but I can't imagine trying to boat there with the reports that are publishing. 76 Falls will be 76 Trickle. I know the regulars will still be going, but I just don't think I'm going to make the trek this year when it will be SO much better next year.
