Default Wind deflector questions....

Got a few questions to ask you AT experts.....

Can someone tell me how high the wind defector sticks up past the fairing??

Can I use plexiglass for this??, How does that front cushion come off the fairing(97 tantrum)???

Thanks, still love the wind but its not staying warm up here for very long

I'm not sure about the plexiglass.....but if you get in between the stitching on the pad you can get to the screws. At least thats what Brian said....

I had mine made at a local shop they made mine out of 1/4 in lexan for about $60.00. I can get you some measurements later today. They really are nice on the boat when cruising.

I made a set from cutting boards I purchased at Walmart with nice stainless hinges and white screw covers for about 15.00.

Thanks for the advice, where can I get lexan from? hardware store? like the look of it mounted under the cushion and across the whole fairing. Too many bugs pelting me and my cheeks are getting to fat and hurt when they start flappin...

I wanted the flip up design and wanted them to fit with in the size of the emboss's of the wind screen. I needed white and they had to be unbreakable.
They look better than any I have seen on the market and work perfectly for keeping bugs and wind out of my face.
They fold and snap down for idle speed and clean up great.
I have to many friends that have broke the Lexan / plastic style.
