Look back at pic 3 in post 76. You can see the broken keeper on top of the head.

I saw the keeper laying there. I couldn't tell if it was broken. Who makes the valves and springs ? I know the heads are Edelbrock and the cam and rockers are Crane.

Not sure. Just one of those $.50 part failures that ruins your whole boating season.

I just can't believe the problems these motors are having. Kinda makes me glad mines gone (NOT). Steve glad it all went well did you ck the otherone????
