REALLY like the forward step protection. I have not seen that before!

I look forward to your input on how it tows, loads, and retrieves. As for looks, it appears better than any bare aluminum Myco I have seen.


The black rubber bow stops will leave some marks on the hull.

I have mine wrapped in a couple of thick 80 oz. carpet scraps. A couple pieces of firehose also work for this task.

I agree. I thought that was a nice touch. It is made out of nonskid Teflon. They said since the step was 4 inches, and a radical one at that they were only comfortable with the added protection. The boat should float off with no problem but just in case.


I was there when they measured tong weight. The Nextrail was 1110 lbs and McClain C-channel is only 750lbs. That should make a big difference right there.

Also, cosmetically, it is day and night to the Myco. Thais is what McClain is going after, a Myco with bling. Structurally it is bulkier with the 10 inch c- channel on the sides and the 8 inch cross members.

That skid for the step was the first thing i noticed That should really help trying to launch on a short ramp Go ahead and tell us what it cost
