I saw this in general also. I had 2 28 A.T.s. I liked the look of the Pantera and know its a great boat BUT the freeboard sucks, I like to be inside the boat. I was real close to buying a Volicty but didn't like the head room in the cabin or how slippry it was at speeds ( PAD) also they had some real problems with them coming apart at one time around here. The A.T. has it all freeboard - cabin - speed and handleing, the boat really acts like a 30 footer.

I had my Pantera for over 5 years and it was a great boat. It was solid and the rigging was exceptional. What cosmic12 said about freeboard is correct. The Pantera is on the shallow side when it comes to freeboard. The cabin is good sized, but most don't have too many frills. Its a wave crushing mutha.

Never been in a 28 AT, but I have been in a 25 and now own a 32. My 32 has TON of freeboard and more than most other performance boats. More than my friends 353 Fastec and more than a 38 Top Gun. The 25 I was in was very deep also and deeper than my Pantera.

I crawled around a Velocity at a boat show and was not impressed. I wouldn't even go there.

You can't go wrong with a 28 AT or 28 Pantera. It will just depend on what you want, and in your case I'm sure, how good a deal you can get.

The 28AT is mine, you are local also so you know pro-roc. Those three types of boats were in my final choice. Rolf had a 28 pantera and 28 velocity for sale wound up with AT. All three are nice, my brother has a 24 pantera does not use much with a 30 spectre recently bought but the pantera is a great boat not a big fan of the velocity though. I went with the AT because it is a bigger feelling boat and just liked the look. The AT is powered with a single 525 and there are none in this area, great boat for the bay and ocean. Best of all I have the only one around here. Vic

i'm very famimliar with Rolf and Francine over at Pro-Roc...purchased my 30 Spectre from them. Also looked at the 28 Pantera they had but got a steal of a deal on a 353 Fastec at the time so purchased that. I hooked OSO Member moviemoney up with the 28 that pro-roc had and that now in CA...he loves it. Your boat is gorgeous but a lil outta my range $$ wise

what about a kick ass 32 with 500s runs 85 + on gps and loaded with all the good stuff for 82 k
