Raylar is making an all aluminum 550hp smallblock. I think I read that a pair of these is equal in weight to a big block.
Did I mention that you would have 1100hps.
I first read about these when the 33 was coming out and thought it would be a great setup for it.

That would push the 28 into the 90's!! When my motors get to 500hrs I plan to do something more than just uppers...but I bet those Raylar 550's cost big $$$. I considered just rebuilding the 350's & Procharging.

Wink Whats a Raylar LSM550 worth?

Our new LSM550"s are a "DEAL" for 10 good reasons!
Consider this:
1. They are hand built -"blueprinted" forged internal motors.
2. They are all aluminum -weigh less than 500lbs.
3. Closed cooled- with oversize oil cooling
5. Come stock with polished stainless headers
6. Have variable cam timing and run on 89 pump gas!
7. Make over 560 ft/lbs of torque
8. Can run in front of a BRAVO 1X drive all day long without the higher cost the Big Block drive of comparable power will need!
9. They will fit where two big blocks won't!
10. We are going into larger production where we should be able to keep the cost in the medium to high $20K range with 1 year warranties.

Price a HP525 for comparison.
Try doing that with a big block for that kind of cost.!

We'll see what next year brings. With fuel costs going up I like the sb's...still a great offshore boat w/twins, just burns 60% less fuel!

Chris if you had 2 of those Raylars in your boat it would be a rocket. They sound very impressive.

A pair of those in a cover-girl cabin, poker run version of the 33AVH would make for a VERY interesting boat........
