AT Christmas Wish List

What are your winter projects/addons/accessories/repower?

Mine are:

New windshield.
New Crane Gold Wide Body Roller Rocker for port engine. (Stbd engine already has new rocker arms.)
New flame arrestors.
Powder coat valve covers.
Upgrade closed cooling hoses on front of motor to stainless braided hose with powder coated brackets, etc.
New cockpit carpet.
New tonneau cover.
Replace all the hoses on both motors.

Just did leakdowns on both motors which turned out OK even after the KW 07 3800-4500 rpm (60-70 mph) 200 mile "cruise" so luckily no big motor rebuild projects so far.

So, AT cult members let's hear your projects.

To wake up and have it NOT be 3.8 degrees out!:(

Maybe I'll have a dream tonight that I wake up and it's 83 degrees out. :drink: Time to go boating.....

boatfreak 12-18-2007 07:58 AM

I've already got a start on my list. I just got back from the factory where I spent a few days working on little things trying to fix up the boat. I changed the exhaust tips as my old ones had blown out the baffles, I installed a set of oil therms in an atempt to get my oil temps over 140 and just gave the engine compartment a good checkup. Now if I good just find some loose change in my couch I would buy a Northstar M84 before we go on the Thunder Run.:cool-smiley-011:

Hey boatdrinks, it might not be 80 when we wake up in Key Largo but I'll bet it won't be 3 either so suck it up and join us.:ernaehrung004:

I got this for my Christmas wish. 1974 Rupp Roadster 2. Won the auction on it last night on E-bay. Seller has all the original paperwork. I'll have it all ready before you guys get down for the Poker Run. They had a thread going on in the Bilge a few weeks ago about mini-bikes we had when we were kids. So I found this one and pulled the trigger on it. I'm going to shave the head and port it,new Dell-Orta carb,Straight pipe and switch out the front 11 tooth sprocket for a 9 tooth. Plus a new hot red paint job. :D

Mark, that is awesome. That's turning on the Wayback machine. I can remember my first ride on one. Can't wait to take it for a rip around the compound. Especially with the new mods. :D

I've been thinking about getting one for a while. It's hard to find one in decent shape where you have something to work with. Most of them I've looked at look they have been tossed behind the barn for the last 20 years.

The one thing I would like for Christmas is some of that fine looking Thunderwear. In all the pictures you guys post you're always wearing the colors, and my wife is always asking why we don't have any.

Last time I rang up Creative Embroidery they didn't seem too enthusiastic so I didn't pursue it. Does it take a "quantity buy" to get T-shirts, sweats, etc? Please let me know. Too late for Christmas.... but in '08 we need to represent out here to the SCOPE crowd.

Thanks....and a very Merry Christmas to you all!!!!!

Thunderstruck 12-21-2007 06:54 AM

Clark will sell you some shirts. :D

A year later and I'm still not on the water. Wife's medical bills have prevented rebuilds (575+ hours), but things are looking up and I am confident for Spring '09.

I'm sorry to ask again but, is there current source for Thunderwear, or is it custom ordered? Possible by Christmas?

Men's XX
Womens S
Boys M or L

Thanks guys..and a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and Happy New Year to you all!

Winterize the boat, Out drive serviced, get graphics repainted, shrink wrap.......Ohh already done. I guess I get nothing for xmas:mad: On the other hand let it snow let it snow let it snow. Check out the avatar and you'll understand:drink:

Christmas wish will now have to be a long winter and a short turn over to summer like 2 days would be sweet

Dear Santa,
Please place the Hardin Marine sea strainer I asked for under the tree Christmas morning. You know I'm not mechanically inclined enough to change the water pump impellers I keep blowing.
Thanks,
Your best friend Pete
