Last year, several local cities were trying to reinstitue the boat propery tax...VA Beach included. (They all abolished it years ago as a revenue generating measure.) Norfolk said nothing. Plus, the owners of my previous boatel said they were going condo, or whatever, as soon as they could get permits. So, I decided to move to a new boatel in Norfolk that many of my HRPA brethren had already moved to. So...what do you think should happen? All the other city councils voted down the boat tax except Norfolk! They snuck it in on the tail of another proposal! Without much, if any notice!! Unbelievable. So, I'll take whatever I can get. My new boat property tax kicks in this year. :blaster::blaster: |
