Just Tallied My Fuel Use For The Summer
Before I get roasted for being anal...which I am BTW...our state offers a fuel tax refund for recreational boats. :D
I used 882 gallons over 52.8 hours (boat had 2 on it when it arrived) equals 16.7 gph. I'm pleased with that given I typically averaged around 14 on the PQ 340 with HO's. And even better is the fact I kept that boat at a different boatel that had almost a half hour no wake zone just to get to the bay! This boat...I'm sticks down in 5 minutes! :cool-smiley-026: The gps was at about 1000 miles, but that is not applicable because I wasn't diligent about turning it on for every trip...especially the short ones. That will change next summer! |
Glad you started this thread. It just reminded me I need to tally mine up and get them sent in to the state.

Pat, I hope you collected on the bet with Frank on which motors I would opt for. I surely made the right decision!! |

NH has a fuel tax refund as well.
Unfortunately, I don't usually buy fuel up there. The one time I did try to run in NH last year was the time the starboard motor committed suicide. :( |

Looks better after it's tallied up for sure. 8+ gph/motor ain't so bad is it...overall. Be interesting to see what my rpm ranges are, which I will check. I do know my HO's had an extremely high percentage below 1500...because of that damn no wake zone. |
