OK.....
130 year old house in disrepair. Since we moved in Sept 20th we have:
  1. scraped and painted ALOT of trim
  2. had floors in first floor sanded and refinished
  3. relocated door from side of the house in the rear to the back of the house (french door)
  4. The new door needed a deck to open onto so a rockin' solid deck was built on 6X6 posts and cantaleavered off of house
  5. mudroom completely gutted and redone as a laundry room/mudroom/storage area/pantry
  6. added new cabinets to kitchen for more storage
  7. Granite countertops and a deep rectangular chefs sink along with all new plumbing into basement
  8. 200 amp service along with several new runs into kitchen for appliances not made in the early 1900's
  9. repair flooring on second floor and install carpet on stairs, 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd floor, and hallway and master bedroom and daughters room.
  10. Turn small bedroom on 2nd floor into a walk in closet with matching built ins
  11. Ceiling fans in every room except for the bathroom and dining room.
  12. have exterior of the house repainted, and windows rewrapped in new coated flashing
  13. Scrape and repaint wraparound front porch shipshape siding and wood around windows.
  14. Replace wood around front door and make some pretty impressive trim work above door.
  15. Install all new lighting in kitchen, mudroom, on the back deck and wraparound front porch.
  16. widen steps onto rear deck (went from 3ft to 4 ft. I wanted 5ft. but was overruled. Pick your battles)
  17. Paint every room.
  18. Route cable from basement to 4th floor and then to all bedrooms and 3rd floor office/guestroom/sitting room
  19. Gut 2nd floor bathroom to studs (lathe and plaster walls and tile) and redo the walls and lower walls with beadboard .
  20. Bathroom gets new lighting, toilet, vanity and medicine cabinet and tile in shower area and on the floor.
  21. powder room on first floor gets new toilet and vanity.
  22. Now comes the good part......boat storage/garage!! After I get the old barn torn down!

Now its time to play for a month or so. Florida maybe. Doubt it but it would be nice.
