Thanks,

They're 540's with AFR 335 CNC heads - hydraulic roller cams, making about 700hp each. The headers are CMI 6" taller sport tubes. I needed the 6" extra because of the high exhaust exit of the AT 32's (over the swim platform) - that way I had enough down angle in the tails to prevent reversion issues due to the mufflers (CMI sound elmination).

Now that I have the engines, I need to get my slippage down. I'm starting with IMCO lowers -2" to try to improve my X-dimension and drag at higher speeds. Sounds like that should work given my x-dim is conservative on this boat and I haven't used nose cones yet.

Last year, I could hit 85 with Bravo I 28's and 32's and then hit a wall. With either of those props, I could run with 1-6 people on full or empty tanks and it just wouldn't matter... my slip percentage was around 18-20%.... obviously I still have some work to do :\ - but hey, at least it looks OK and sounds good

Very nice work on the motors.

Any chance we can get you to drag the boat to VA this year for the Jamm'n on the James run? AT sponsored event and there will be at least a dozen AT's there.

The more I look at this boat the more I think I've seen it before. Did you buy this a few years ago from Fastboats in Pompano. The ad said it had new paint and other things that I can't remember. She's a sharp boat with some VERY nice power.

Yeah, that's the same boat I think... bought it in July of '06.

We actually did drive down to Pompano to pick it up... and AT repainted it and went through it in 2005. I bought it from a local in Ft. Lauderdale though - he barely used the boat. The 502's had some fuel line issues when I bought it, had to re-do part of the fuel systems, but once we did that, the motors worked great... except that they were only 415hp...

We previously had a Baja 250ES (Tibbstoy2) - that boat had a similar 540 ci engine in it and it hauled... I was looking for a better boat and happened upon this AT in Florida. Going 70 all the time with the 502's the first summer got boring

I forgot to mention, I posted a youtube link on one of the AT pics threads with a few videos from last summer that aren't too bad:

By the way, SLboatdrinks, when is the Jamm'n on the James run? That's a hike for me, but it may work out... I do have some work to get the boat "improved" for this summer... I am redoing some of the wiring in the boat among other things.

July 11th thru 13th. The actual run is on the 12th and we stay overnight in Portsmouth, VA at the: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...remarsha=ORFPT

Friday night is the pre-party and there is a Captain's meeting as well. There is also another Captain's meeting on Sat. morning.
