Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland. Now TX. The hour meter may not be working, but everything shows like 220hrs. Laugh it up, I'll be happy to put 20hrs on it this summer. I've got 3, well more like 2 1/2 boats. I've got one for fishing (13ft), one for entertaining, and the apache is for me.............a drivers boat if you will. So between the three I may not put 12hours on it. Its on a lake and I can get anywhere in 30 minutes. I would assume the previous owners did the same. The last owner hurt his leg and only drove it twice and the second time was the test drive.

WTF is going on in here!!!!!!!!!! From the infamous Rodney King...."Can't we all just get along?" To each his own, Right? My brother had a 28 Apache with (2) 509ci/600HP Big blocks in it and it ran into the 80's and it handled big water like a champ. Its a heavy old school boat with a great heritage and I dig 'em. BUT, I have yet see one of them sell for 150K. And you can put 2 small blocks in a 28 AT and it will run 74-75 MPH (lighter boat different setup).......Remember "To each his own".

Tex, I told you we actually went to see your boat back in the late 90's in New Jersey. We came by water and saw it and it was nice then , and its nice now I'm sure.

Now how about we all just make ourselves a drink, kick back and be happy that we can do what we do with what we have

Sorry I had to go somewhere I am back now. I am not selling anything as you eluded to. And as I said I will not post speeds or get into that on line. I do know mine made me very happy and would have walked on you. As for me not haveing a boat you are right I don't I had something else to take care of and my family comes first. They make boats everyday and I have had many and I am sure there will be more to come. If you are look'n to start a B.S. typical Apache thread you came to the wrong spot we like to have fun around here and cheap shots aren't part of it. As I said before this isn't the first one you have started. As for my panties being in a wad you haven't even come close nore will you Good Bye.

I thought there was a good reason for using wood instead of plastic. Heres that article I found just for you cosmic.

Cosmic - walked on you??????? You mean my boat would walk all over you? Hah, impossible theres no feet. Wait a minute...........if I use the outdrives I bet I could walk it........but then you'd just be hobbling around on one leg. I bet I could even make it do a little dance at the end.

R addiction. I was told they sell for $150 new, since their not a production boat I doubt one has ever be advertised brand new with a price. Maybe I'm wrong, anybody seen a 28 listed brand new? Thanks for the pics, boy that apache really shines when its posted next to an AT

I'm having fun too TP.

Your apache is a great boat and pales in comparison to my AT in every way. Frankly, I'm putting mine up for sale and looking for a nice pre-owned apache, starting tomorrow.

So let me see if I have this right. It takes 920hp to push that vintage sled 77 and a 28 AT runs 75 with 525hp. Both straight bottom boats and basically the same speed.
I wonder which one burns less gas and has the best insurance premium.

WTF is going on here. A simple thread turns into this BULL$HIT???

Hey Texoma, let it go dude, you have a classic boat which will always be cool. And I like it a lot but, Relax a little.

From what I understand this 28 for sale will run low 70's with one motor. Not too shabby for a true 28' boat. How fast did those single engine 28 Apaches run? Exactly. They all have their pros and cons again RELAX

Why does every thread have to be turned into this BS? And for the record I am not smiling reading this banter I am tired of it.
