From an owners perspective there is nothing wrong with the size of the 37. It is a big, heavy, rough water boat. I would compare it to the 38-39 Cig. The 39 Nortech is a much bigger boat. I saw it side by side in Islamorada.

From a business owners perspective. I would consider discontinuing the 37 and building a 39-40 footer, assuming the cost benefit analysis made sense. The market has changed quite a bit from the introduction of the 37 in the late 90’s. At that time a 37 was considered a big boat. Today it is considered a smaller boat based on the percentage sold compared to the total percentage of high performance boats. To support that, talk to someone who is lending money on high performance boats they will tell you that the sub 38 market (sub 300K) is soft and is a small percent of the total sold. The 38-40 market is good and the largest percent of total sold, and the 41+ market is strong and the second largest percent of total. The bottom line is that given the current market dynamics, the competition, and what people want, Pat would probably sell more 39's a year than he would sell 37 because the demand for that size is 3X that of a boat technically smaller. I don’t know if the investment in new tooling and molds will be worth it, especially since he is investing in the 43 right now.

I stand corrected. I was refering to the the next one at the start of the berth, move that one back and shorten up the seats. Longer bed :ie no problem with tall ones. Ace:D
