If this weather keeps up....soon, very soon.

slboatdrinks 04-24-2008 03:52 PM

Batteries are in, burnt out valance lights have been replaced, stereo works.

Slap the wheels on and fuel her up and we're ready to get wet. :party-smiley-020::boat:

Went through the trailer today and replaced some valance lights in the cabin yesterday.

I still need to wash and wax, so the cool weather can stay for a bit.

I had to replace one too. As did Mark. What's up with those lights?

I'm sure the beating we give them has something to do with their longevity.

Greetings from Lake Cumberland:cool-smiley-011:
We got here about midnight Fri night and splashed the boat. She ran like a top yesterday and I hope to do burn a little more of that 400 bucks I put in it today.
I know I know where's the picks? I'll try to get something.

boatfreak 05-11-2008 08:45 PM

Well we just walked in from a long rainy drive home. Today was a total washout and the only time I got in the boat was to load it in 40mph winds and rain but hey it beat working all weekend.

Glad to hear you got out Mike.

Finished up waxing Remedy today. Hoping to get out for the first time this year on Memorial Day weekend.

Macklin 05-12-2008 06:47 AM

Tell me about it Steve! We have had the wackiest weekend weather the last two months. More tornadoes last night! Cloudy and rainy the rest of the weekend. At least I had a window of time Saturday morning to put the boat on a work rack to change my F/W separators and clean the bilge.

And watch them raise the price of gas to $4.03. Jeez!

Got my new boat out of storage on Friday. Lots of work on Friday and Saturday and it still is only about 60% done. I did get to run it for a bit on Saturday though. Crappy cell phone pics below...I forgot the digital and my Moms digital fell in the lake.

Sydwayz 05-12-2008 12:08 PM

I put mine in the water last weekend, and have been getting her ready for the SML Poker Run. After a bit of trailer maintenance, and polishing with Leverage, she is almost ready.

Now, I just need to replace the Sony dash remote which crapped out. I've got one on the way as well.

Mines been out of storage a bunch of times. All I need to do is pull it forward 40 feet:D:D

Unfortunately it hasn't seen any water except for running on the hose.

Been doing a bunch of stuff to get it ready, though.
1. Installed half a dozen guages that had cloudy lenses or were not working right.
2. Rewired my fuel tank senders and installed new billet vents for the fuel tanks.
3. Installed a big 3rd battery
4. Installed a new stereo, amp, remote, speakers and prewired it for the next stereo upgrade. Its gonna get another amp, 2 or 4 more speakers and a pair of subs next year.
5. New purple Isotta steering wheel.
6. New bigger billet cup holders.
7. New flush mount stern light--had to take off the swim platform to cut the hole.
8. Buffed and waxed and cleaned bilge.
9. Had my mechanic fix the shift linkage/detent ball and replace a shift cable on one drive and service both drives.
10. Filled it with fuel today at the station where the price hadn't gone up yet $3.54/gallon compared to $3.69 everywhere else. I saved enough to get a bottle of Li'mon

I guess I'm about ready. Just need to clean the cockpit vinyl and might wait until after the first outing to do a real good job on it.

slboatdrinks 05-24-2008 08:00 PM

Hitting the ramp at 9:30am tomorrow.

Off to Block Island for lunch.

Pics and hopefully video to follow. :D

R Addiction 05-24-2008 10:50 PM

Had a good run today, a bit windy! Went to a tiki bar down the bay and stayed there most of the day. Only burned up $131.00 worth of fuel. Still below $4.00 at the marina:cool-smiley-011:

yzbert 05-25-2008 07:46 AM
