Here's a brand new 33- 525 HP boat in paint this week for our client in Connecticut. Look for it at NYC Run and Mohegan Sun.
I'm going to try and talk him into coming down to the factory for the Key West Run and the ThunderRuns! |

steve We are good to go for the Tres Martin school next week as well. I'm excited about going thru that class. Brad Schoenwald seems to be very on-top of his game. :evilb: |

Actually, yep! I'm curious to see how they run. If they give us 3+ we're at 95ish. Not quite as fast as a 38 Fountain though.......:( |

Very close though...our 38 Fountain with 600's and Bravo's ran 93 mph on its best day. Our 38 Fountain with 700's is a different beast all together.:cool-smiley-011::cool-smiley-011:
I've been looking at '08 38' Fountains and everyone that I have talked with is claiming 97 MPH with 525's. Yours was just 93 MPH with 600's?? I'm a little confused. Oh, by the way, I'm also looking at the 33 AT, that's why I'm in here. |

The only thing in common between the 38 Fountain and the 33 AT is true overall length. I have run a couple of 38 525 Fountains and have beaten all in water over 2 feet and hang with the rest in smooth. The ones that run ITS and herrings pull me by a mile an hour or two. The AT is not going to be the fastest boat in the world but it is the best riding in the class and best built. TBoss, you were in my boat, not one stress crack any ware after 115 hours with 60% of the time running in the Atlantic in 3-6's. The 33 AT (525EFI) will run a true 92 with stock props and probably 95+ with labbed The 37 AT (525EFI) will run a true 84 with stock bravos and 86-88 with labbed, I have seen 90.5 with Herrings on my 37 on and "ideal" day. |

I can help you with that one. His 06 38 was a 1/2 stagger with the seats pushed back as they originally were. The 07's and up had a redisigned bottom and center of gravity. That picked up a ton of speed with that change.
Thanks! I didn't realize his was pre full stagger. They also made some major changes in the cabin. |

Have you ran with an '07 or newer? The full stagger has given the 38 Fountain a lot more speed. Lots of people here on OSO are claiming 97 MPH. Yes, when I went to visit Active Thunder, we went out in your boat. I didn't see any stress cracks in the boat, although once Pat was finished launching it off of 6 footers, I didn't reinspect it. By the way, aren't you suppose to throttle back when you leave the water for 20-30 seconds at a time? I think he wore out the rev limiters!:D |
