Crickets

I'm I the only one that hears crickets in this forum? Come on people, other than for the few of you that live in Florida, the season has come to an end and this forum is dead.
So let's hear it......
Favorite boating trip
Favorite poker run
Greatest memories of the year
Worst screw-up
Even plans for next year

i seriously dont know whats happening in here

Gladhe8er 10-30-2008 03:56 PM

Ok, I'll bite because this forum certainly has died down a bit.

Favorite boating trip this year: Stratford CT to Claudio's restaurant on the North fork of LI. Talk about a hot boat hang-out! It was 125 miles round trip of washing machine 4 footers, but the AT was up to the task.

Favorite poker run this year was the one on The Great Sacandaga in upstate NY. Awesome run adn I won 3rd place money. I was one of the more televised boats on the video too! Hoping to make Jammin' next year.

Greatest memory was probably frying a water pump before the Glen Cove, LI poker run and watching everybody work together to get me running again.

Worst screw up: My alarm went off(it was the fireboy system) so while I had the hatch up and motor off, the current in the river gently knocked my bow againt a channell marker. Had to break out the compound to get all the red paint off!

Next year: Sacandaga, Lake George, Glen Cove, JOTJ, 1000 islands?

rssteiny 10-30-2008 06:11 PM

got 2 of my buddys at the active thunder plant as we speak, calling me and rubbing it in that there down there an im up here home in pa. they were over there shooting the chit with pat and checking out remedy. they are staying at the ones time share in lauderdale, for the boat show and partiyng. then over to his house in fort myers and running down to the keys. phucking pr**ks :drink::ernaehrung004:

THUNDER-STRUCK 10-30-2008 07:01 PM

Ok Favorite boating trip this year Georgian Bay in Toronto CA, until next week in Key West for the Powerboat races.

Favorite Poker Run Fort Myers where Bob Barnhart ran both Predators.

Greatest memories, a ton of them all involving hangovers, but Sarasota, St Pete, Fort Myers run and meeting OCD was great.

Worst screw up selling my Active Thunder!! (my divorce is a close second)

Plans for next year buying another boat.

Hope everyone is doing well Aaron.

Trip: Going to Richmond, Va to tow home "Hyper Active"

Poker Run: Cumberland, Kentucky Lake, Knoxville, Haulin on Old Hickory (Just had a lot of fun this year were ever I ran the new toy)

Screw up: First time I took out the AT, It was gusting to 30 and I rubbed the side of the boat on the dock! Spent the next day fixing my screw up and you can't really see it any more.

Plans: Going threw the drives this winter and then being bored of my a#$ until next season.

Boatfreak: Tried to cutch up with you at Cumberland but every time I went by the Houseboat, you were gone. Yelled at you at party cove. Try to come to Kentucky Lake.

OK I went boating today. Slick calm in LA, about 75 deg. Just got my labbed props back from BBlades and went to try them. 91.5 at 5500 rpm my AT brothers! :p

Checked the timing, adjusted a throttle cable on my stbd motor, tested some other props, bought 100 gal gas for $245 ON THE WATER, drank some beer at Bennigan's, cleaned the boat, swept bugs and dead rats (eat the green pellets and die you sorry bastards) out of my boat shed, put the boat up (full of gas) and back at the hacienda for more beer. Ga Tech beat Fla State for the first time in 12 years. Overall a good day.

Hurricanes are sobering m***** f******. Hope all is well with my OSO buds in Houston/Clear Lake/Galveston. Ike put 2 feet higher water in flood prone areas of Lake Charles than a direct hit with Rita. WTF.

I have 2 Kids in college so I will not be at KW but someone post some pics.

ActiveThunder 11-01-2008 08:42 PM

At least he was boating today! What were you doing today besides wearing a jacket and holding an umbrella? :party-smiley-004:

Fock you Pat!

Winterized the engines yesterday. Drives next weekend.

Just as gas prices plummet. This is getting old.

ActiveThunder 11-02-2008 08:51 AM

Well, I just washed the Vette and took the top out so I can cruise the beach down to the Lauderdale Boat Show.

Whoops, almost forgot the sunscreen! :party-smiley-048:

Pour it on Pat. :evilb:

I may go boating again today since the weather is so nice. Even if my boat is slower than SOME, I'll try to suffer through another day of boating with my inadequate equipment.

did it swallow a valve or what catastrophic failure was it?

boatfreak 03-07-2009 12:25 PM

I have a valve head sticking out of a piston. On the upside, I have another trophy for my basement wall by the pool table.:ernaehrung004:

laszlo01 03-07-2009 12:37 PM

Pretty expensive trophy. We are redoing the drives on the 37 as we speak, one was eating teeth and the other one looks like just seals, water in both, motors look good for the season but will pull next winter to bump them up a bit. It is getting a bit quiet in here so I thought i would update as well. Hope everyone is doing well.

Well, As most of you know I lost my job Jan 23rd. Went to Key Largo for 11 days after that and ReeeeLaxed!! Came back to the frozen north and have actually been very busy getting things done. Daughters first car is in the process. My brother and I have become junkyard dogs. Picking up peices here and there to finish up some of his used car collection to sell. In a few weeks I get started on getting his 41 Apache ready for the next season. Just checking everything over. (Looking forward to maintaining a couple 900+HP blower motors) The weather phucked with us this weekend, temps were way up but the rain was always a possibility so no 2 wheeled fun:mad:
