Any of YOU guys coming to the Tickfaw 200??? :p

flenner 03-22-2009 09:11 AM

We have about 12 boats coming from Nashville. Heard that if it rains hard before the run, don't bother coming because of the trash! Whats the story?

I wouldn't go that far. Really will only affect it if the rain is one or 2 days before the run and by that time its probably too late anyway if you're coming from Tenn. We've had huge storms come through the last two years on Thursday and Friday before the run but it really only affects one stop. Just skip Blind River Bar and don't worry about it. Really the current from the high water was worse than the trash IMO.

Can rain really hard but we've participated in all types of weather. You can make the run if you can dodge the rain on the day of the run. You are correct that hard rains flood the estuary and move a lot of trash downstream. If you hear banjo music..... :evilb:

Got my outdrives back from Mr. Gadgets today. Need some epoxy repairs to the nose cone fairing on one drive and some paint.

Almost there boys.

Back to Active Thunder

Quite a battle but got on the water yesterday. Boat ran fine. No leaks that I could see. :drink:

Need to troubleshoot my gaffrig speedo, goes through its startup routine, goes to 18 mph and stays there. Seem to think that it isn't getting a signal, anyone have any experience??

Wet sanded and polished some scratches out of the deck cap over the transom.

Leverage did well. Followed by Finesse IT and Leverage Polish/Wax.

You know the drill, if I can get 100 feet from the dock it'll run all day.

Hope to see you guys at Tickfaw.

jmeng 04-13-2009 06:06 PM

We'll be there, probably with a boat full of Lake Charles natives. First drinks on me at the fun house.

Inactive due to the weather last weekend. Boat is running well however. But, nothing to do in LA????

4 sacks of crawfish and some brew usually cures the boredom.
