Default What worked best for your 32??

Hey guys its time for me to start thinging about the outdrives
for my 32. Can anyone tell me what worked the best for them.
Standard,=1,=2. I dont have extension boxes. I have seen several that have the standard length on them. I do have a
standard right hand with only 25 hrs on it. It sure would be nice to order another just like it and go.
But on the other hand I want it to be right when done. Any help would be great. Thanks Timmy.

My 2000 just has standard bravo 1 boat works well , thinking of trying nose cones though to get my prop slip numbers down as a few others have done with good results.

Your boat is a liitle older and the X dimension is probably lower/deeper than the newer 32's. You could most likely go with a -1 or -2 lower. First you need to find out what your X dim is or at least find out your propshaft depth.

Had a '94 with 465HPs.
Bravo 1s. and 1:36 gears
Ran 78-81 at it's best with 3 blade Mirage Plus 23*pitch
Removed water pumps did crossovers added dry exhaust and 1:51 gears.
Boat jumped to 84-86 with 3 blade Mirage Plus 27*pitch
My favorite all around set up was pitching 27s to 28* pitch
top end slowed down to 81-82 but 3900-4000rpm was 60-62 mph.
What a great cruise speed and fuel burn!!!!!
and the sound was better than standing in the pits with a Nascar.

Nice! What was the out drive length? Stock or a shortie?

In my 32 raceboat...I had standard b-1's and the top of my gmble touched the rub rail....my boat also had a notched trransom....I think the x was dead on....the best prop was a 4 blade mercury lab 15.25x28 with 1/4 of dia, eter taken away....500hp carb motors 88mph @ LOTO Shootout
