We use to raise Thunder Roys 32(525SC's) hatch about 2 inches.

The back seat comes up with the hatch so not to sure how my passengers would react to the back of their seat coming up lol

I probably have to go up a good 12" before it opens enough to get any extra air.

I`ll have to come up with somethin.. extra air can`t hurt

My previous boat had a 600SC (Profile cat). It had a hatch scoop and one set of vets on the sides. I decided to put exit vets on the back of the boat. It really helped it out. You might want to try that. The AT has room for them.

Vents on the transom of the boat so the hot air can escape

You got it! It did make a big difference. After a long, hard run, I would open the hatch and it wouldn't be as hot in the engine compartment. Boat also ran better on hot , humid days.

a couple of inches and no one will notice.
They can sit but they will probably be blocking some air
your doing this to get more performance which mean a higher top speed..I believe if you're running for top speeds with passengers the passengers should be standing and holding on to the "OH SH*T " bars and able to see and re-act to any quick and unusual circumstance.

You should be testing w/ one guy on the boat.
No need for added weight, or people getting in your way.
