I have Allstate. I think they told me as long as the boat was 500 hp or less they would insure it, I think.

I'm not to sure about the hp thing. I too am with Allstate and was with my old 28. My agent is very aware of what is under the hatch and has been on the boat.

Maybe taking him on that boat ride is the KEY to getting it insured!!!

Hurricane prone areas are different than the rest of the nation. You most probably been through the auto insurance companies with no success which is why you're posting. I have mine through Elton Porter. Keep in mind that all boat insurance is expensive where you live even without wind coverage. I got wind coverage but paid dearly for it. But, you need to ask. Nothing like getting into a huge line at the gas station during an evacuation pulling a boat when you wouldn't even need to stop otherwise.

I had a tough time getting ins. for that boat in 06 I can't imagine its any easier now. I ended up going to Sy Goldburg and it wasn't cheap.
So did you do the deal yet?

No deal yet. Should know later today. Insurance is a bear. Very expensive. State Farm is not writeing boat policies in fla. So far Elton Porter has the best quote. Waiting on two more quotes. I will keep you informed.

They were the cheapest for my cobalt, but it is not a performance boat.

Guys, go through Stacy on here. She is WakeZone and beat all the others for my 28AT. She is responsive and knowledgeable too.
