Default Garmin Chartplotter on a Savage?

Has anyone mounted a Garmin 545 or simular chartplotter on a savage? If so where did you mount it? I do not see anywhere you could mount this unit. Just looking for ideas as I got a new one for christmas.

I know the only place I have room on my 32 is on the passenger side near the compass.

I mounted my 545 on the left side of the helm with the swivel bracket that came with it. Works well there, and I have access/sight to it while driving.

Here is the only pic of it , but my wife's arm is blocking most of it.......damn cant wait to switch the inside colors to the matching yellow&green

THe boat I am getting has the compass on the drivers side built right in next to the speedo. I will have to investigate when I get the boat home. Thanks.

If you are going with an 8 in. you might look at the m84 northstar.

Dennis, you might be able to make a new lid for the glove box on the port side to mount it on but I don't think I would try on what is there now its lexsan or plexi not sure.
Maybe build a small mold to flush mt it that would bolt on in place of the lid thats there.
Talk to Pat he may have done something in the past.
Sorry I don't have any pics of the inside of it, those are on an old computer that won't boot up anymore.

It's being discontinued. Navstar has a replacement. It's all the same company anyways.

Dumb question time...

For those of you that have the chartplotter on the pass side, can you still see it from driver's side?

Thats my fear, that my "navigator" would be to busy looking at other things....was thinking of flush mounting mine in the helm and getting rid of my speedo & moving some of the other guages...but I'm lazy
