Nothing yet Tony unless you want to see the white gel-kote, Pat's been devoting most of his time to getting the 37' done. Then I'm next on the AT fastrack :drink: Steve

26sonic 02-18-2010 12:30 AM

good to hear that your in process, what engines did you decide on ?

JeffC 02-18-2010 08:16 AM

Hey Steve, I like the center entry on your boat its going to be nice.. They should be finished with mine this following week. Thanks for being patient and letting them work on mine.

What kind of trailer did you get?

There was a painted aluminum Myco there and it was a very nice trailer. I wish i would of had Myco paint mine...

FuelinAround 02-18-2010 09:03 AM

You can see some pics of his on another thread about the blue and silver 37 for the Miami show. I think I need to have some discussions with this pat fellow. After a ton of research I think active thunder is the boat for me. I love my 89 30' sonic and it is pristine but I know I want something newer. Not trying to steal the thread at all but could someone tell me what a new 33 or 37 roughly cost? Hard to start saving if I don't know my goal. Congrats on the new boat and I can't wait to see it. Did the green one still not sell?

Jeff, I had Manning build an aluminum "tandem" for me since we plan on doing some saltwater dipping. After seeing the painted Myco at Active Thunder I decided to go the painted route since aluminum seems to get funky over time. my trailer is done and sitting at Manning. The pictures look good, but I haven't gotten a chance to run over to Michigan to see it yet. I decided to do a tandem vs. a triple due to manuverability. It's still rated at 14,ooo lbs so I should be fine. Please post lots of pictures when your boat is finished, I think Pat is trying to keep these boats a secret so he won't have to work so much :drink: ! Steve

Loved my dual axle Myco. You'll be fine with the tandem Manning, also a good trailer.

He hasn't even begun the final count down for JOTJ. :lolhit:

Do you need my address so you know where to send the check :drink:. I have considered going with XR's but then I'ld want the 525's to go with them! Do I need them, I don't know, would I like them, you bet. At 430 horse a side I don't think the motor will break the drive, now my in-experience at throttling in seas might! Let's hear opinions on this one, I've gotten several already from friends. My other concern with the XR's is the speed loss from the gears, loose 2 MPH and it might put me under 80  Steve

REMEDY 02-22-2010 07:07 PM

Steve, got your motors yet?

Hey Drew, No power yet, Pat said he talked to the Mercury rep at the show and they're still talking about releasing them in March sometime. I'm going down to see Pat on Wednesday so I hope to learn more. Steve

If I read the title post, the response is: OLD.

Steve is spending his birthday here in sunny south Florida going over cabin and cockpit colors with the boss.

Should have some pictures and details soon!

REMEDY 03-03-2010 10:04 PM

"OLD"... What are you saying... You gotta put steps in so he can get in the boat? Or some kind of lift?... Hope they are as cool as the new dash! Im sure it will be 6 months for the pictures of that!!:party-smiley-004::evilb::evilb::evilb:

Happy Birthday Steve!!:drink::drink::drink:

ActiveThunder 04-02-2010 05:07 PM

It's 12 weeks or better to build a boat and allow the customization and changes. Of course there are overlap times that make it possible for us to build 12 boats or better each year.

I'm sure the customer who just built the last 37 will tell you that he made changes up to the very end and is happy with the boat even if we ran over 30 days on our best guess estimate. And that included designing and building an entirely new dash AFTER he ordered the boat.

If you are looking for some type of immediate gratification and pictures of a boat we are building everyday then you are in the wrong place. There is nothing remotely interesting or exciting about installing a holding tank or installing a bilge pump so I waste nobody's time with such pictures. The bling-bling is always at the end.

We only update when we build to keep the cult involved and to bring the new boat owner in to the circle. If the friendships and bonds formed are boring to you I apologize. Loosen up a little and enjoy the experience. It will be a lot more fun!

Enjoy the weekend!
