Since you two have so much love for each other why don't you sign the papers on a new 43 so Pat can build you one. Just think of all of the quality time you two could spend together through the build. :drink:

Not too shabby. It's into the low 80s without full time mufflers. We didn't have a lot of time to test and tune before putting the mufflers on which slowed it down a couple ticks.

chuckbeecher 07-24-2010 07:24 AM

Good Looking Interior!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt Miller built a new 32 Sunsation XRT with them and has gotten high 80's out of them. Motors seem to be a hit. It is always tough being the first owner of new engines.....

Great looking boat, though I am more partial to blue like the 37 that went to Texas! Pat keep up the good work! :D

That 32 Sunsation is a lot smaller and lighter than a 33 Active Thunder. I'd expect that.

This is the first of any boats with new 502 HOs that have the Corsa Captain's Choice exhaust. Exhaust routing was not easy with these new F'd up, or shall we say S'd up manifolds and exits.

The Sunsation is about 600 lbs lighter and the XRT boats have a very basic cabin (no liner, no sink etc). I wasn't mentioning the boats for a comparison rather the fact Matt just got his boat on the water a few weeks ago and it was the first 502 boat they have built. Matt likes to tweak his boats with every trick out there to make it just a little faster so I suspect that boat will find another couple MPH to hit 90!

3 full feet shorter and 2000+ lbs lighter.

Macklin 07-26-2010 06:41 AM

I got you on the 3 ft part (33'10 vs 31'7 w/swim platform) but 7800 lbs is what you list and Powerboat tested the 32 XRT at 7100 w/ the stripped out, basic cabin. That would be a 700 lb difference, unless you were compensating for extra strippers the A/T would pick up at the dock, say a dozen 100 lb girls, then the Sunsation would be 2K lighter! :D

EXACTLY!

ActiveThunder 07-26-2010 06:19 PM

7800 was our estimate in '06. I think Steve weighted it on the way home.

I'm curious as to what he found but I am guessing 9000#.

The Sunny is listed at 6800# per PBM.

Apples and oranges.

We both build GREAT boats!

Wildman_grafix 07-26-2010 06:58 PM

Wow, that's a bit more then the web site has.

How much fuel/ water does it hold? I assume it would end up to much for a 10K lift.
