just a thought...... has anyone ever thought of having a third bolster drop in when you have a center entry?

In other words I was just thinking that on my 28 it would be cool to drop in between the two front seats.

Anyone seen that done?

Could it be done?

A friend of mine has it for his 32 fountain and works very well, probably easier since you do not have to reinforce the side wall as the two seats are solid as they stand. After being in clarks boat for the miami run it was nice to have the drop in for more support so we decided to add it to ours as well.

I was in Clark's boat for the KW run last November.

I was not a fan of the 3rd bolster, especially when the water got big.

I found that when I was in it, I was constantly trying to sit lower on the backrest to get below the windscreen to avoid the wind. There is no footrest ahead of the 3rd bolster and my feet had no support. It was very uncomfortable for any length of time.

That's a great seat and I've rode there in some BIG water and at night and it is just fine and secure and no wind problem.
Wind?? the thing about that seat is if the pucker factor gets to be too much for someone they can just fall forward and be in the safe cabin!:evilb:
A lip on the floor for your feet would be great there if you have a captain that does not believe in boat shoes!
Had permanent three mans on my 32 and there was nothing we would back down from with those. Best seats ever..had them made by the Powerplay interior guy.

thanks Lasz... I wonder what adjustments would need to be made to teh existing bolsters that are there.

I wonder if you would have to order the seat through Pat then find someone else to do the install.?

Talked to Pat and he will make me the Bolster and directed me to the Billet guys for the bracket, thank you Pat for the quick response.
