Looking for a 28 Savage
 

Just sold my Baja 30 Outlaw and am looking for a 28 Savage. They are tough to find. Anyone have any info on one for sale I'd appreciate it.

I think? not sure, but my old 06 is in Buffalo N.Y. and hasn't been sold yet. dennis1009 a memeber here was on it for awhile but I don't think he pulled the trigger on it.

Cosmic, Nice, I'm partial but I always liked that boat. How fast with the setback and what prop?.

It would run 70 to 72 but I had mufflers on it and kinda choked the power a bit. I don't think the ITS did anything for it at all but sure looked a lot cleaner and made it much easier to clean without all the steering hardware hang'n there.
If I remember correctly it had a Bravo 4 blade 28.
Just a great all round boat, wish I still had it.

When I bought that boat from Pat I was very close to make'n a deal on the Red one you have from the dealer that had it at the time, great looking boat you have there.

I will Pete, Flying full time international, running a farm and a bricks & mortar retail biz doesn't leave much time. But I did disappear to the garage a few hours the past couple weeks. I'm just looking for a few small parts to finish. I wanted to make JOTJ but I would like to run it a few hours before I do any poker runs.

Stormrider, My insurance co. will only insure a 28 Savage with a max of 500hp@ the prop. If you give JC a call, he can give you numbers of some he's done. I know he can build a very strong 525. Doug

I remember seeing that boat, maybe it was Racine, in a different life....... it would certainly make a fine rig for someone, and probably won't last long in the "for sale" column.

Doug- I took that picture of the 28 in February, 2002 when we owned it. We were down for the boat show and Pat was kind enough to put the boat in the water for us during our stay.
The boat was docked at a friend's place (a guy I flew with) on one of the canals off the ICW in Pompano Beach.
Fond memories of a great boat; I'm not sure, but I think it may have changed hands three times since we owned it.
We hope there will come a time in our lives when we will be fortunate enough to own another Active Thunder- times have been a little tough since then.

I see that Outerlimits is going to make a 28'. They make very nice boats but if I wanted a new 28', Pat would still be my first choice for the job. Doug

Anyone have any info on this boat? Is it still available? Are there any other 28' Active Thunders out there for sale? I saw the one on Craigslist I think in was in Michigan If I remember corectly.

A friend of a friend bought Boat Freaks old boat. Pretty sure it was used on Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, significance being
there is a 45 mph speed limit so I would like the boat is still
in good condition.

I am sure you could muster up a ride with one the BIO crew until you get your boat back. I always have room on mine:drink:

These are all the same boat. I looked at it a couple of weeks ago while the owner was out boating on it. I got to see it in its regular environment. I crawled through it a bit...if anyone wants my opinion, feel free to pm me.

It did. I have owned it since 2005.
