Florida Keys anyone?
 

Well if we are going to get a Thunder Run put together we're going to have to make some plans. Mark, Clark and myself talked about this while in Key West and we are thinking Hawks Cay Jan. 21st through the 24th. Open for input and all are welcome.:coolcowboy:

I've got flights booked for Dec. 4-7 and Jan 13-18

We're in. Gotta be that weekend though.

Week before is our annual Ski Trip with my delightful children.... (don't have kids) which I adore!

Pretty sure Shack and Clark are good to go as well.

I'm still waiting for a reply from our cult leader on what days work better for him. Are we going Thurs. through Sun. or Fri. through Monday? It looks like we're headed to Hawks Cay. I would like to get a head count soon so we can get this thing set up.

What do the masses say? Friday is better for me.

I think Friday works just fine. I know you don't like leaving the asylum very long and just wondered if one day was better than the other

Either works for me, but F-M is probably a bit better.

I'm like Sydwayz I can do either but prefer F-M.

What actual dates are you guys thinking of, the weekend "before" Christmas or the weekend of? I'ld be interested if the dates work, or maybe I'll just stay home in case it snows ! :lolhit:

We are headed out on Friday the 21st of January coming back on Monday. It should be a great time and now that you're an official cult member you really should do a Thunder Run. :cool:

We will be down at the Smallwoods in Cape Coral for New Years weekend doing some boating around SW florida. The Ft Myers club does a great New Years Day run to Marco Island.

Ahh, that makes more sense, you're going in January, the first post never mentioned the month and I assumed you meant December! My nephew is getting married that weekend in Tampa and we're already committed. What's Smallwoods, resort with docks? Steve

The Smallwoods are long time A.T. owners. We met on a Thunder Run in 2002 and have been boat together every since. They have a 2000 37 500hp boat. We go to there house almost every year for New Years Eve. Bob always says he operates the Smallwood B+B and Marina. They are on a canal right off the river.

Weather in Florida has to get better by the time we get there. The Keys got hammered with rain yesterday.

Just spent a week working in Orlando. Had to come back to Seattle to warm up!

The 2011 ThunderRun is just 30 days away and we need an accurate head count and cooperation in reserving rooms.

I talked to Hawk's Cay today and it looks like the economy is bouncing back since they are already at 65% capacity that weekend.

Time to plan this week if you are going so we can get the block of rooms and dock space so call, e-mail, post or whatever else you have available so we can lock this in next week.

I wanna goooooo.....the weather here is :bsflag: Just got another 6+/- inches of snow today.

Well make it happen. I'm sure there will be a couple extra seats on one of the boats. :coolcowboy:

Blew out my right shoulder yesterday so I need some warm(er) weather and some R&R and alot of C&G (Capt/Ginger Ale). See you all in a month!:drink:

I feel better just thinking about it. The ice on my shoulder will be mixed with Capt/Ginger Ale and I'll be in shorts and flip flops and boating in these waters with some great friends.
