I will never get away from Eddie Haskell will I? :cool-smiley-011:

cosmic12 01-11-2011 03:15 PM

So Pat whats the deal on that one you posted?

Also, anyone on here have 31k bid on New Moon?

ActiveThunder 01-11-2011 06:10 PM

They just were asking about trading on a new 33 and I asked for pictures.

Thought Mike like to see what "zero" maintainence looked like! :party-smiley-004:

Probably not!

Where's some pictures of the bad boy?

boatfreak 01-11-2011 07:57 PM

Hey I think I know that boat. I heard about the engine swap but I don't know anything about it.

Now as far as that maintainence thing goes, the old 496 was sure an easy way to go boating but nothing can compare to the feel of nearly 1500 hp behind you.:coolcowboy:

R Addiction 01-12-2011 10:36 AM

That boat did well in the 07 Thunder Run. 8 more days.....:boat::boat::boat:

go to reply.. then all the way to the bottom and "manage attachments"

You insert them there.

But your membership must be more than 'Registered' to do it that way.
You could use the insert image link if you have them posted on another website, or you could email them to one of us here, and we could post them for you.

My Addiction 01-13-2011 02:47 PM

load the pics to photobucket.com and use the image url

ghaskell 01-13-2011 04:38 PM

Lets try this on photobucket because I'm only a "registered" user.

In the future just copy the "IMG code" under the pic and past it into your post, It shows up as the picture.

ghaskell 01-14-2011 09:25 AM

Thanks Brian!

No problem Greg. I've chatted with a certain person about your boat. More to come.

cosmic12 01-16-2011 07:51 AM

It has been relisted. Guess nobody got it for 31k

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...item20b67e3a78

If I already put this up, sorry, in advance I'm get'n to old to remember:eek:

Stormrider 01-17-2011 07:52 AM

Quick question to all that are interested in this boat.
Is it not worth $35k? But it's worth 31k?

This is a pretty special boat, being only 1 of 2 Twin SBCs ever made. If someone wanted it, I couldn't imagine $3-4k stopping you from having it.
Am I missing something?

no.. you aren't.. it is a great boat.. I can't believe it hasn't been snatched up for such short money. Just goes to show you how little disposable income people have these days.

Stormrider 01-17-2011 10:05 AM

Anyone of you AT insiders have an idea what Pat would charge to have the paint colors and some cockpit colors changed out? And I'm not talking a full blown paint job, cause the design is OK, but just painting over and adding a bit for a whole new look w/ new colors.
Also, what would Full Hyd Steering run for twins? 4-5K?

R Addiction 01-17-2011 01:25 PM

I'm figureing 40k total investment. I personally like the paint job. Full hydraulic steering would be the only thing I would do mechanically other then the usual maintenance. I'd love to scoop this boat up.

Stormrider 01-17-2011 02:00 PM

Cosmic... you never posted any of your pics.
Do the videos accurately show the current condition?

cosmic12 01-17-2011 04:32 PM

Sorry about the pics, For some reason the card in my camera didn't save anything from that day and I went a few other place's and I took over 100 pics and when I loaded them to my puter nothing showed up:eek:
I won't say the boat wasn't worth it but I just saw more work than I wanted to deal with or what I wanted to spend to get it to where I would be happy with it.

Besides I have another new summer toy for this year.

???????????????????? you selling? seriously?

R Addiction 01-17-2011 08:07 PM

If I could get that # I would be all over this 28.:party-smiley-004:

Drock78 01-18-2011 07:23 AM

how much for your tantrum?

R Addiction 01-18-2011 08:04 AM

Drock, I am not selling my Tantrum. it was an "if" I could I'd do it. If you are looking for a solid boat the Tantrum is a great boat.

ICDEDPPL 01-18-2011 09:30 AM

What the heck how am I supposed to sell my Tantrum with a 28 going for the same price.. :angry-smiley-038:
I think its a bad time to sell , folks interested in mine are waiting till spring to sea trial.. (thats what they were saying anyway)

I haven`t found anything that I like better than mine either thou

R Addiction 01-18-2011 03:32 PM

ICDEDPPL, In this size you won't find anything better. Are you going to head south this summer and do the Jammin on the James Run? You and the wife would fit right in!:evilb: And from what I hear your 25 is in much better condition. Hang on to the Tantrum for another year.

ICDEDPPL 01-18-2011 06:47 PM

I think thats what will end up happening me keeping it another year.. I really want something at least 30' for the Big lake here thou.
Plus it looks like $30K is where id need to be for a quick sale..that would be $10K down the drain

R Addiction 01-18-2011 06:53 PM

Was it worth it?

ICDEDPPL 01-18-2011 07:08 PM

???
worth getting a drive? I didn`t have much choice lol

Pete280 01-18-2011 07:22 PM

very hard to sell high and buy low, it's all relative if you get a smokin deal on a bigger boat,

The gain from the 25 to the 28 just isn't enough IMHO.
You guys have nice boats now, just keep'em, for now and hope one of the 33's show up 4-sale when its time.
I really wanted New Moon, but now I am thinking the way to go is a 32 so I am going to start watching that market for next year.....maybe:drink:
I don't want a step bottom boat so the 32 is the answer for me someday,..who knows, it might be cool to take a older 32 and have pat build a 33 style cabin in it.
