mikebrls 01-06-2011 10:15 PM

wasn't this boat for sale a while ago on oso ?
did it sell or is this the same owner still trying to sell .

450 hour's seem's like a lot on a performance boat, i would think they mite need to be rebuilt soon ?

so who has the scoop on this boat , the good and bad .

mite be something i could be interested in

thank's
mike

ICDEDPPL 01-06-2011 11:31 PM

OMG those colors.. quick someone poke my eyes out !!:lolhit:

Gladhe8er 01-07-2011 07:05 AM

Good price.
450 hrs on those small blocks isn't as bad as say 450 hours on a 500/525 EFI.

I agree, plus they are cheap to rebuild/upgrade, Go Get it Mikey:evilb:

Stormrider 01-07-2011 08:21 AM

That is a great boat... 1 of 2 twin sbc's made iirc.
It wouldn't be too hard to paint over the current striping in black silver and purple. Redo the side interior panels in the same.
Rick, sorry i never got back to you. Weather was bad and family pulling me in all directions. Thx for the offer again.

Rock solid boat with twin 300hp small blocks with bravo drives (this combo is bulletproof unless the driver has no idea of how to run a boat like this), easy to work on (I've worked on this boat), DEEP cockpit (was set up for a tall driver, has a "sunken" floor. Cool option) and the previous owner installed (nicely done) a forward hatch in the foredeck above the vberth. If I had the $$$ I'd be all over this boat. All it needs, in my opinion, is full hydraulic steering.

Sydwayz 01-07-2011 10:24 AM

The original owner was fabricator and built some new and interesting things for the boat as well such as a can-chute that stores empty cans in a container in the bilge. ( :D )
And it also has some custom external exhaust shields under the swim platform.

It was owned by an OSO member; and was for sale in a midwest at a clearance lot sometime last year. Clark and I saw it at the Emerald Coast Poker Run in late summer of 2010; which appears to be one of the ad pics right on the beach in Destin.

R Addiction 01-07-2011 05:25 PM

Forgot about the can chute!!

mikebrls 01-07-2011 06:21 PM

how will this boat handle compared to my old 28 pantara in say 3 to 4ft. ocean roller's ?

If I remember correctly, the original owner had a paving company and the boat had a deranged "Bam Bam" decal on the deck....he kind of got caught with his pants down by his wife...therefore the boat went bye bye....

I am going to look at the boat tomarro(Sat) and will let you all know how it looks these days. I want it and I want it bad but I am going to be looking very deep long and hard at it.
If I can I will post pics but for some reason my puter keeps booting me off everytime I get on here and can't get past the front page. Says explorer can't open the web page, I have no problem with any other sites. WTF

the guy won't return call's or email's
i hope u have better luck .
i was thinking if when u have to rebuild those motor's u bring them to the 400hp range that should run the boat a bit faster :)
mike

cosmic12 01-07-2011 07:19 PM

Hum....... he called me first thing this morning after I e-mailed him. I have talked with him twice and will be looking at it around noon Sat.

rlj676 01-07-2011 07:26 PM

Was the "moon" something's boat?

Looks like a great deal (much better than the price I got on it a few years back....). I wouldn't worry about those motors for quite some time if they have been cared for at all. I'd be more concerned about new paint/wrap.

cosmic12 01-07-2011 07:28 PM

Yes it was New Moon......Spillman

About the same. The AT is a lot deeper, so you feel a little more secure.

R Addiction 01-08-2011 01:55 PM

Yea........what he said.

Pete280 01-08-2011 05:36 PM

I kinda like the colors, they are very big 28's I took a test drive in what is now OCD actives boat back in 2006 in Miami, should have bought it but he was stuck on 55K and I was stuck on 50K.

cosmic12 01-08-2011 06:00 PM

I looked at it and got sum pics,
I will be watching the bidding. By the way the can shoot is gone. And lets just say.............well we will see how the bids go. I want the boat, but.....the last few owners haven't been real nice to it.

I would post the pics but I am on the hotel puter, again I CAN'T stay logged on here on my laptop for some unknown reason.

ghaskell 01-10-2011 09:05 AM

Wow.. Great price! That shouldn't last too long.

ghaskell 01-10-2011 04:00 PM

Finger Lakes, Seneca Spread the word only about 280hrs! I just started thinking about maybe getting a bigger A/T. I've had my Savage for 5 Years now and love it, however I'm thinking about maybe a little bigger A/T. I don't have the boat listed right now because I don't have allot of good interior pics. When I winterized it and put it in the Garage under 3 covers I was not thinking about selling. Now I'll have to get some good pics and get it listed.
