Thanks for the info. When did they stop making them 99 or 2000? Any info on the 28/29 Savage? Theres already so few of them trying to find a 98+ is going to be really hard. Any wood rot problems in the pre 98s? I was set on my next boat being a 29 Fountain until I read stories of the transom and stringers rotting out on some Fountains.

Mine is a 97 and is has the mechnical indicators, it is a very solid boat , awesome ride and handling. It is really the same size as the 29 Fountain time you add the beak and platform it may be bigger.

Mine is for sale. From what I have heard there have only been twenty 28 footers built. They changed the hull up at one point...I believe around '03, but could be a year or two earlier.

My brother had a 29 Fountain with same engine as me(525 efi). He was 7 mph faster in calm water but that Fountain would get beat up once we got to 2-3 footers and I would walk past him.

Just had a customer call me, clean all original 97 (I think) 454 mag, I know 3 out of 5 people that have owned the boat since day one. Trailer is 3 years old, mix of freshwater and salt use, needs a new cockpit cover which he may do next week. $27500 or best offer. Email me for info and pics
