Where does everyone mount amps in a 28' Savage? Christmas present (MB Quart NAU660 to match head and speakers) has been sitting in my office, and if I don't install it now, it will be under the tree again next December 25th. Since new (or since I've owned it) stereo has had no amp. Speakers are already in place.

Mounting it under the rear seat and within a few feet of the batteries is the easiest and least expensive place. That is where my amps on my 32 are mounted.
