Are you running amps? Sounds like you are overheating or overloading whatever is powering your speakers. Either that or something is wired wrong, maybe too many speakers per channel dropping ohm load etc.

No Amps or Subs, just the Stereo connected to 4 stock speakers...

is your amp shutting off, or is the head unit turning off? As mentioned, use a volt meter and see what the voltage at whatever is cutting off is. If the voltage drops below 12, that will cause either to shut down.

Let us know what you find, and I can make recommendations to correct it. Don't buy any new equipment yet, unless you just want the excuse to do so :)

Its the Head Unit thats turning on and off, I dont have any Subs or Amps...yet.

Haha. I think I've seen your boat out at the moot last year. I don't imagine there's too many 25's on St Clair.:drink:

That was probably me. The name on back is 'Anger MGMT'. I've only been to the moot once this year, been out of town for business.

Problem solved with the stereo! The fuse housing near the battery was corroded. Loose connection.

If the stereo is cranked for a long time, the internal amp in the head unit is probably getting way hot. It could going into a self protect mode. The other problem could be that the battery voltage is dropping slightly after playing tunes for a while and with higher volumes, the interanl amp needs at least 12 volts or it will start cutting out.
