Default 32/33 AT vs. 31 Cig. Vice/Mystique

I'm bored so lets hear some opinions and feedback. I am dream boat shopping and these boats are at the top of my list. I know there will differences between the 32 and 33 (but what) and I know there are differences between the Vice and the Mystique (just can't remember which is which)...If money and availabilty wasn't a problem, what would you do? I am looking to stay under 35' OAL. The Cig will be hard to find. The 33' AT could be an option years down the road when I will actually be shopping. The 32' AT is a nice boat but I just don't like the exhaust coming over the swim platform. What does everyone think. Again, this is just for knowledge and conversation piece. I am not shopping now but...

My buddy has a 32 AT. Very nice boat and well built. Runs good. Never been in a Cig that size, heard they don't run so well. Buy a 33 Powerplay and call it done. Mines 34'11" with the platform and will run with any 37-38 we've been next to...

Given those choices I'd go with the stepped 33 AT. The 33 is basically a 9/10 version of the 37AT. Great boats!

I have looked at both. I like the old school styling of the Cig better, the interiors are fantastic quality. Cons on the Cig, the cabin is tight if you are looking to actually use it, have heard they are tough to set up and have a porpise problem. For only a few built, there were a lot of changes, straight bottom, twin step, notch, etc. Vice are all twin step. Will be harder to find. AT, cabin is very roomy, newer styling, also a very nice boat. The 32's are all straight bottom I believe, 33's have the new AT bottom. Havent sea trialed either one but as said before have seen and crawled through both. Both nice boats, my personal choice would be the 33AT.

Twin step 31 cigs don't have a porpoise problem. Down side is there are only about 6 of them.

My 32 swim platform is above my exhaust tips
I have the flat transom and the last year for that was 97 or 98 and I had mine custom made.

fill your transom holes with two lights of some sorts..two speakers marine rated..and then redo exhaust under platform..there is a solution to every situation..no problems..just results..

BTW..33AT is my choice..hands down..and she looks good doing it..

I don't think anybody here has explained the main difference between the 32 and 33 AT - the 33 has a step and was introduced in 06. It essentially replaced the 32. According to an article I read recently, there have only been five 33's made(#6 is being built with outboard power right now). I know where 4 of the 5 are.

I do not know much about the small cigs, but I have heard about the porpoising issues.
