500horsepower.
I can't say it still has the aproved APBA seals that were required when we were racing Factory 1, but it has run pretty much the same speeds for the last 12 years.
Years ago when the Shootout was still in front of Shooters21, there was one year when the temps were over 100* with high humidity.
It ran 78- I won my class. All other years we ran 80-81, and I've won my class every year. One year I put ice packs on the intake runners and all along the fuel line, ran as early in tthe morning as possible for cooler air temps and ran 8 to 10gal. of fuel onboard... Ran 83.
These days, the engine has been re-built to the 500 Bulldog specs. Unfortunatly someone "borrowed" a few of my best race props a few years ago. It seems they are long gone so I borrowed and ran my neighbors 28-Bavo-4blade prop for this years event. (he got HIS prop back)
The boat ran alot more bow lift with his prop but about the same RPM.
Ilm not complaining. It won me another Shootout trophy!
