Any for sale in the northeast? Have a friend in NJ with cash. Wants a single with a Blue motor. Might consider looking at one Fl when he is down here for the Miami show. Let me know please. Thanks Pete

Zee I noticed you have a 4 blade in one picture and a six blade in the other. What are the numbers with each prop? Have you done any work on it since you bought it? Nice boat!

zee66 01-18-2012 06:44 PM

The four blade was for the 525.The six blade is on now for the whipple charged 557 from hot to go motorsports.

Funny you asked that! Have been thinking about selling the package without power for a while now. Looking to possibly buy a single cat to break 100mph with my power. How fast that 29step going to be?

I think he would hurt himself or someone else. I did mention he was from Jersey didn't I? He has been in a Savage and really liked the boat and ride. I did talk to Pat about a new 28 already, but I think his price range is a little lower than new. But he is coming down to the Miami show so lets see what happens.:drink:

Z what kind power and what speeds do you see with the added power and prop?

zee66 02-01-2012 08:02 AM

Well the 525 from merc was nice , but it took forever and a day to reach 72mph, i think that was with a 26bravo. This great little 557 with only 5lbs of whipple boost from HTG racing is amazing. It runs 84/85 all day without a tune on it yet. Thats with a six blade Hering 26.

Nice numbers. What HP is it making?
Ours is about the same. 502 w/procharger @7lbs making ap 820HP on dyno.
Have seen 87.5 with a raw 5 blade Maxximum. Runs mid 80,s any time.

This package from Hot to Go can make up to 1100hp on the dyno, Ive seen it! We have it set up right now to make approx 750hp, its really conservative setup. DRIVE FRIENDLY

Drive friendly.....Depends on what drive. I know it depends on the driver but seriously, what drive?

Stock merc, XR Its, Change oil every 20 hours, Roll the throttle forward easy and be drive happy!

cosmic12 02-02-2012 04:51 AM

Glad to see you still have the bow cover.

zee66 02-02-2012 07:30 AM

About time you showed up! Hows life been treating you? You wont believe the interest on that bow cover by everyone whos sees it. You should put a patent on it! Does a great job and still in perfect shape.

Gladhe8er 02-02-2012 08:31 AM

Just noticed that bow cover. Sure looks a lot easier to deal with than my full cover.

It is how you throttle and main. The original owner replaced the upper at 100hrs. Ours is a XR upper and a standard Bravo 1 lower. The procharger was put on at 40hrs and ran 600+ hp approx until 265hrs.We bumped it up to 800+ hp and it shows 387hrs.
We run lake Mich as well as Superior and Huron and air it out alot. The scream O meter/ wife lets me know that. You have to throttle it well and come out of the very hole easily. We run Amsoil and have yet to replace a gear and have no chunks. You can twist any drive if you hammer the throttle and hang on.

Sounds like a pretty fun ride, they are a great looking boat! and when they run as fast as they look, THATS THE BEST! Whats the gain with the bravo1 lower?

So you like the Amsoil too. I've heard good things about it. My Tantrum has the stock 415HP 502 in it with close to 600 hours on it. No issues, change the oil every 20 hours with Merc oil. May have to try out that Amsoil.

Scream o meter! LMAO! Look at most of my helicopter shots and videos, air time and the wife loves it!

Amsoil has worked great for us.

As my wife says "shes a screamer". She will not complain to much until the pillows and bags that are up front start to end up in the cockpit area.

Never forget the first time the cabin turned into a salad. Should have taken pictures because I, too, put everything on the floor now. I made the mistake of bringing a sub box and leaving it in the front birth. We hit a large wake at 60 and the sub box did a 360 and landed by the bathroom. Just glad it didn't wreck somthing else.:daz:

R Addiction 02-11-2012 08:13 PM

Yea, that would have sucked! I have to dig up the picture from Jammin' on the James a few years ago. We had 4 people on the boat and the cabin was a friggin' mess! Good times!

Last year I had about 6 coolers on the cabin floor and everything else... Including the cooler with 600 jello shots Mrs. R made... Good thing everything was sealed up good!!:lolhit:
