It's 29. You get 29 feet worth of boat. Not 4 feet of worthless crap at either end. We probably should call it the 31, or 32, maybe 33 if we were Pinocchio. You lie and your nose grows.

Slider, standard.

Yer right I do know better, so no bussell eather:eek:
I can't wait to see it. Good luck with it.

New deck with a full 12"s bigger in the cockpit.

No fanfare just a bad-azz running offshore machine like the rest of our boats.

Simply a boat which I am building for my daughter so she can learn the sport and enjoy the AT experience.

Now I need a name.

The 28 is the Savage. What should the 29 be called?

29 Eclipse

fatherb68 12-11-2011 10:17 PM

I love the sound of my big block, but my buddy has a 31 sutphen with trip o/b running almost 95. The boat has a very large cockpit area. Great for when you want to take a bunch of people out.

R Addiction 12-12-2011 12:10 PM

Addiction......Hmmmmm sounds good. All I would have to do to name it is add an R'! Then I would have to change the plans for the garage. It will have to be able to store my Tantrum also, I'm not getting rid of it. Its a classic and VERY RARE!:grinser010:

Gordo 12-12-2011 05:06 PM

How about
Active Thunder "Cyclone" ?
Active Thunder "Tornado" ?
Active Thunder "Outrage" (since there is already a boat called "Rage"

R Addiction 12-12-2011 05:13 PM

Mike ...Outrage is owned by Boston Whaler.

Avenger, reminds me of the Dodge Avenger (ex wife had one, not my favorite)

I'm a little bias but I do like Addiction:party-smiley-004:

only a foot.

However we just started building the first 33 with side dash pods and a walk thru to the wrap-around forward settee.

And the port side has an enclosed pit-stop for the girls. Starboard built in galley/ bar.

Thoughts?

So is this a mid-cabin open bow like the 32 Sunsation or is it a full walk through, meaning you don't have to duck down in a cabin to get to the front seating? It sounds great either way. Can't wait to see it.

Can't wait to see this one. 525's? Triple eggbeaters? Either way a cool ride for sure.

28 vs 29

I don't mean to pry information, but are there any updates on the major differences between the 28 and this up and coming 29. The Savage was for the longest while my all time favorite boat for my own specific reasons. I'd love to know what this 29 is going to offer over the 28. Is it actually replacing the 28, or will both still be available from factory. Thanks' guys.

Main thing is it is adding the DDC bottom, aka a step. The 29 will be faster than the 28 and have an extra foot of room in the cockpit. Sounds awesome.

Plus we will be increasing the headroom down the center like the 33s and 37s. The 'dip' will only be 1".

28 vs. 29

Sounds like a nice piece of machinery, any word on amenities? I'm assuming an enclosed head and such like 28, extra head room is always a positive for anyone. I'm a massive fan of a single engine setup, is there any room for advanced power options? I'm definitely interested in seeing more of how this boat plays out. Love the Active Thunder brand.

We are using the cabin liner that is in the 28. Only diff. below will be headroom down the center.

Also the increase in cockpit has always bugged me. Kinda like being at a football game and having to stand up so some guy can get by me to take a leak..... The people sitting down in the back seat will have a lot more room!

Open down the center with full bow access. No ducking. Think of it as a 'split' center console. But we have room in front of the cockpit for some ammenities.

The idea was derived from the Malibu Wakesetter I bought for Casey. Very well though out boat.
