I run 15 1/4 X 28 labbed maximus. I have a set of labbed 30 maximus for spares and there a bit too big especially in fresh/brackish water where I run the majority of the time.I've seen 86.3 with the 28s and cruise 61-62 at 4000. Boat planes real smooth with the 28s and they carry the bow up making the boat handle great. The 30s have a 3-4 mph better cruise but chatter getting on plane and Bravos don't like that. I tried a set of 15 1/8 30s that had some pitch taken out and the boat ran real flat and lazy so be careful taking too much diameter out. I think the Hydromotive P5Xs work as good or better than the Maximus from what I saw on Macklins boat. Brett at BBlades has done all my prop work and knows what works with our 1 step bottom.

That would be your patented one step bottom.

That run up river to the first card stop at Smithfield, flat out next to you the whole way, in absolutely perfect conditions, with those P5X's on for the first time, was spectacular.

Wished I'ld known at the time they don't like a lot of positive trim like Bravos do. Probably would have surpased 87.

Bone stock 29 P5X's. Very nice set of props without the cost of labbed Max's.

I have been running stock 29 P5X's on my boat for three years and love them. Might lose a little top end but over all performance is great and they are on regular Bravo's. Like Maklin said, they don't need a lot of trim but carry the boat really well.
